CD Description- Video Relay Service, a service allowing Deaf people and people with normal hearing, the ability to talk on the phone.  This service began in 2003 and began employing sign language interpreters.  There is no training CDs that an individual is able to use to prepare themselves for this type of work.  The only way to train is to apply to work at one of the centers that does this type of work, pass their skills screening, and then train.  If someone fails the screening, they have no way to improve.  Carrie Morgan and I were able to secure funding through the Sara Paullin Casto Scholarship under the Ohio Chapter of the Registry for the Deaf to make this CD.  Now practitioners (interpreters, mentors, ITP faculty) are able to use this tool as a practice stimulus so that prospective video interpreters can get used to calls and call management.
